FEW Programs

The following are programs presently being offered by FEW. If you are interested in a program for your church, school, community center, family or for you personally, please click the button below to the registration link and follow the instructions to get started.

Music For Human Development
This is a six to twelve week program developed for young people ages 9 to 15. The program introduces participants to a wide variety of organic musical instruments and studies each from the perspective of how the sounds they produce serve to heal, empower, uplift and transform us. Participants have an opportunity to play instruments and make music in a variety of ways, write music, discuss the effects music has on our physical, mental, emotional and inner selves, and study the ways music effects our relationship with our environment. The program concludes with a performance that allows the students to express what they learned and how they were empacted..

Traveling Hips Belly Dance
Rites of Passage
This is a six week program for women ages 13 and beyond. It incorporates movements of belly dance with concepts of development for women, based on experiences common to women everywhere - like menstruation, sexuality (from a woman's perspective), child birth, motherhood and running a household.. Each week of the program focuses on a different objective and incorporates different belly dance movements, costumes and music. The program can be presented as a six hour or 3-4 day workshop, or 1- 6 week retreat. The program culminates with a HAFLA or performance created and implemented by the participants. Each program is created to fit the group it serves.

Top 10 Ways to Green
Your World
This program guides participants through a step by step introduction to the art of living GREEN! We help participants develop a clear definition for the term "green" as it applies to lifestyle, explain why being green is important to us all today and for the future, establish an individual set of sound practices that will be implemented and maintained in their lives daily and provides the opportunity for practice. This is a week long program, that can be extended upon request.

Wholistic Health 001
Wholistic Health is a layman's dream come true. It allows each and every person to be in charge of and in control of his or her own health. This 3-6 week program introduces methods to examine and assess our mental, physical, emotional and environmental health. Then, we work to educate participants on healthier eating habits, exercise practices and natural healthcare practices and remedies. Finally, we guide participants through the process of creating a viable Health Plan and support them through the process of implementing their plan for success. This is a program that can be taken privately, in a small group or a larger group with a maximum of 30 participants. All participants must be 18 or above.

Reading Is FUNdamental Literacy Program
This one month, 3 day a week literacy program not only teaches people of all ages how to read and/or improve their reading, it also encourages a real love for reading in each and every participant. Through the use of book clubs, peer tutoring, drama and other art disciplines, we are able to begin shaping a child's or an adult's love for reading and practice of reading daily. Personal tutoring is also offered, if needed.

Kwanzaa 365
Kwanzaa is not a holiday, it's a lifestyle, a way of living 365 days of the year. Using the seven principles of Kwanzaa for an entire year allows us to shape our character while building our community. This 7 day program guides participants through an exploration of the principles and practices of Kwanzaa and how to incorporate them into our everyday living.
